The Strength within Women - the Great Power that Brings Peace

It has been 20 years since the Beijing Declaration was signed by 189 nations in 1995. The UN Commission on the Status of Women held its 59th Session titled CSW59/Beijing+20 to disuss how far the international community has come and the current challenges in achieving gender equality. IWPG Chairwoman Nam Hee Kim took part as one of the main presenters at a conference focusing on women's rights in conflict areas and in Africa, and highlighted in her two speeches that women with the heart of a mother have great strength that is powerful enough to tackle all common and national challenges including peace and human rights issues.
