4 · 26 International Women’s Peace Day

In 2019, IWPG declared April 26 as International Women’s Peace Day.
This day serves as a global peace celebration where women from all over the world come together to reaffirm their commitment to achieving peace.

The annual commemorative ceremony held on April 26 has since become a meaningful tradition and a cultural symbol of peace.
In 2023, the 4th anniversary of International Women’s Peace Day was celebrated over the course of a week through 29 online and offline events held in 54 countries, with participation from more than 80 IWPG branches.
These events bloomed as festivals of peace in every corner of the world.

April 26 will continue to stand as a day of strengthened global solidarity among women and as a recognized celebration of women’s leadership in peacebuilding worldwide.
