HWPL 9·18 World Peace Summit

On September 18, 2014, IWPG’s partner organization, HWPL, hosted the inaugural World Peace Summit.
On this day, political and religious leaders from around the world pledged to cooperate in the enactment of an international law for peace and to end religious conflicts, which are a primary cause of war.

This historic agreement marked the beginning of an unprecedented global peace movement, producing remarkable achievements across the world.
Since then, September 18 has been commemorated annually with a summit ceremony, where prominent global figures gather to discuss ways to institutionalize peace.

IWPG actively participates in this annual event, joining women leaders from diverse fields including politics, media, and education to strengthen cooperation for the realization of sustainable peace.
