We are constructing the IWPG Peace Activities Monument to inspire the spirit of peace among women worldwide and to commemorate a world that remembers and celebrates peace.
On September 6, 2022, the first IWPG Peace Activities Monument was established in Davao de Oro, Mindanao, Philippines.
On January 24, 2014, a civil peace agreement was signed in Mindanao through the mediation of HWPL, IWPG’s peace partner organization, bringing an end to the conflict.
This monument was built to carry on the spirit of that peace and to serve as a lasting reminder of what is possible when women stand for peace.

“Until a world of peace is firmly established,
IWPG and women around the world will continue to support and advocate for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW),
the answer to achieving peace.
With all our hearts and efforts, we pledge to spread a culture of peace and carry out women’s peace education.
We engrave this promise in this monument.”
