Spreading peace culture and promoting the DPCW in Czech

International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) Global Region 7 (Regional Director Eun-kyung Kim) recently signed an MOU with Czech artist Irena Prochazkova online.

This MOU aims to facilitate peace and culture networking through IWPG’s International Loving-Peace Competition (ILPAC) and related exhibitions and cultural activities.

Ms. Irena Prochazkova has been actively working internationally since 2018, holding individual and group exhibitions in Europe, America, and Asia every year.

Particularly in 2021, she gained attention through her work that integrated art with social messages by participating in international art fairs and peace-related art exhibitions.

She also participated in the 2025 International Women’s Peace Conference hosted by IWPG on Sep 19 and contributed as one of the judges of the final deliberation of the ILPAC.

This MOU focuses on two main projects.

The peace art exhibition includes hosting peace-themed art exhibitions featuring artwork by both children and profession artists; facilitating cultural networking through workshops; promoting the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) and Peace Lecturer Training & Education (PLTE) through the exhibitions; supporting the promotion, arrangement, and press reporting of the exhibitions; and providing various related content and mentoring opportunities for youth.

The ILPAC includes arranging the operation, judging and rewarding of the competition and building an awardee network; finding judges and providing youth mentoring; creating related content including new sources of inspiration; promoting the importance of creativity and peace; and raising awareness through individuals’ networks and expanding women’s peace activities.

Regional Director Eun-kyung Kim said, “Art transcends borders and bridges hearts. I look forward to the strengthening of peace solidarity and peace culture in Czech through this MOU.”

Ms. Irena Prochazkova said, “I am honored to join this work of sharing the value of peace through art. I look forward to my partnership with IWPG.”

IWPG is an international women’s NGO registered in the UN Economic and Social Council and Department of Global Communications, with 115 branches in 122 countries and approximately 800 partner organizations in 68 countries. Under the theme “sustainable world peace,” IWPG aims to strengthen international solidarity, spread a culture of peace, provide PLTE, and advocate the institutionalization of the DPCW.
