Partnership

Participation in UN CSW Since 2018, IWPG has been participating in the UN Commission on the Status of Women (UN CSW) every year. UN CSW is a functional committee under the UN Economic and Social Committee (ECOSOC), gathering government officials and relevant NGOs and institutions from all around the world to discuss topics of female empowerment and women’s rights, such as gender policies.

In March 2023, IWPG participated in UN CSW67 held at the UN Headquarters in New York and hosted an NGO Parallel Event and 2 Side Events, each with the Ministry of Gender, Child, and Social Welfare of South Sudan and Ministry of Women, Family and Children of Côte d'Ivoire.

As the theme of UN CSW67 was discussions mainly focused on mainly focused on Peace Education, which pertains to SDG #4. IWPG not only signed MOAs with the Ministry of Gender, Child, and Social Welfare of South Sudan and the Ministry of Women, Family and Children of Cte d'Ivoire, it introduced the DPCW to female leaders all around the world to encourage cooperation at the national level.
