■ Theme: Everyday Peace, Women’s Power: Shaping Global Governance

  • Date 17–18 September 2026
  • Venue Enford Hotel, Cheongju, Republic of Korea
  • Host International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG)

Held every September in Korea since 2014, the International Women’s Peace Conference took place this year in Cheongju. This year’s conference approached peace not only as something negotiated at diplomatic tables, but as a value practiced every day in families, schools, workplaces, and communities. Women leaders, peace practitioners, youth, civil society, and partner organizations from around the world explored how women can move from being beneficiaries of peace to becoming its architects.

■ Key Messages

Speakers emphasized three shared messages. First, peace is chosen and practiced in everyday life. Second, women must be meaningful decision-makers who shape agendas, not token participants. Third, these everyday efforts must be supported by institutions and carried forward to the next generation through international solidarity.

IWPG has compiled the 2026 Global Women’s Peace Recommendations, drawing on the voices of about 1,070 women from 46 countries who took part in the 2026 Global Women’s Peace Forum in July. Together with the discussions from this conference, IWPG will carry these recommendations into national and international policy dialogue.
