Participation in the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW)

Since 2018, IWPG has participated annually in the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UN CSW).
The UN CSW, a functional commission under the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), convenes governments, international organizations, and NGOs from around the world each year to share best practices for empowering women and advancing their rights, while discussing effective implementation strategies for gender equality policies.

March 8 is recognized by the United Nations as International Women’s Day a global occasion to honor women’s social, economic, and political contributions and to promote gender equality.
The UN CSW serves as one of the key activities commemorating International Women’s Day and plays a central role in global discussions on gender equality and women’s rights.
