2026.10.03

On October 3, seniors, people with disabilities, and local community members gathered at Multi Place in Seongnam-dong, Ulsan, for “Our Community Gathering: Enjoying and Laughing Together.” The event was organized by the Ulsan Branch of the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) and the Ulsan Association for Disabled and Elderly People.
About 60 people, including association members, staff, and volunteers, joined the event. The day started with a meal together, followed by health exercises, an OX quiz, team games, a singing contest, and a guest band performance.
Throughout the event, people chatted, laughed, and enjoyed the activities together. Participants shared stories and joined in the games and performances, getting to know one another along the way. The event ended with a group photo and gifts for the participants.
“It was meaningful to laugh and spend time together with the members of the Ulsan Association for Disabled and Elderly People,” said Choi Mi-rae, Branch Manager of IWPG Ulsan Branch. “Peace is not something grand. It starts with small acts of respect and care for one another.” She added that the branch would continue organizing activities that bring people in the local community together.
The event gave seniors and people with disabilities a chance to spend time together, share conversations, and enjoy a day of activities. IWPG Ulsan Branch plans to continue working with the local community through activities that encourage people to respect and care for one another.
